Hattie's comments made me think

So I made the modified Dashing for my husband and he wears them every day. I made them with Patron Merino and they pill horribly. He shaves them every 3-4 days. What yarn have you used that wear like iron?

I finished my first pair for myself. They are irish hiking wristlettes done in the round and I love them. I have been wearing them for 3 days straight. They are made out of Moda Dea Sassy Stripes color 6997

Just plain tired of Fetching.

I finished my girlfriends, purple fetching on sunday. I of course could not go with out something on the needles so until my brother gets his measurements to me for his christmas presents... I cast on Irish Hiking Wrist Warmers. I hate seaming so I started them in the round, and being a total dumb @ss I ended up knitting them inside out but that was after I cast on three times. So I tried to turn them and decided that kniting inside out is better than backwards. I will bind off my first one tonight, and add the thumb tomorrow?

So is it just me or are your hands cold too?

So this morning I got up way early to write a paper for my program... And by the time my husband got up and gave me a kiss good morning-my hands were popsicles! I have knit 4 pairs of fingerless and none for myself, I do keep stealling Grandma Feliz voodoo's but to be fair I have reknit the thumb because of that for her they will fit better now. I am set to cast now for my last girlfriends fetching but I am thinking I need to be selfish and make mine first...

1/2 finger Short Dashing for my computer geek husband.

My husband is used to my seamstress prowess and ordered up a pair of Dashing like he would order up any garment from me... with changes. :) I am a new knitter and not quite secure in my ablities. But I came through with a close to perfect set of 1/2 finger, shorter than normal, Dashing. One seems to be a little longer before the first cable than the other but it will always be worn under a hoodie so he will never notice.

Fetching again.

I have not quite bored of this pattern yet but I did find something to use up the left over yarn to make a matching headband, so that is why it took me so long to post this set. This set is for my sister in law, last year her husband knit her a great scarf that I think these will match. Next fingerless is going to be dashing in black for my husband but he wants the first two sets of knuckles to be covered so off I go to research how to do that....

Pair number 2

My friend is going to Chicago this month so her christmas present was knit next, so she could take them with.

These are Fetching knit with Patons Classic Wool Merino in Navy. They took me about a week, because my knitting time is sucked up with work and school. I did a plain bind off.

My first of the season- Voodoo

I really took to knitting this year, and thought I had to give everyone something handmade this year. So my christmas list includes at least 5 pairs of fingerless gloves, starting with my Grand-mother-in-law. Avo Feliz, has arthritis and is always knitting or crocheting for others- so who else deserves something nice. Her "Voodoos" are made in acrylic so she can wash them.
