Flickr Group!

We now have a flickr group! You can add your pics to the group here, called Fall Fingerless Mitts and I'll set up a flickr badge on the blog as soon as people are getting started. Feel free to post pics of your yarn you're going to use, your project and your FO.

Happy Knitting!

Pattern Ideas!

Hi Everyone - I'm so happy to have you all here! As we get this knitalong kicked off this weekend I wanted to start compiling a list of fingerless mitt patterns either for free or purchase. I've already started a list in the sidebar, feel free to comment here with links to your fav patterns so I can update it and give those of us who haven't yet made a decision some ideas.

Thanks and happy knitting! =)

Warm hands are a good thing.

Hi, I'm Rebecca and I'm so happy Keri started this KAL. I love small projects like mitts and hats. For this KAL, I'll be starting with one pair of Eunny's Endpaper Mitts, knit with Louet Gems in Fern Green and Eggplant. I should be able to post a progress pic early next week.

Welcome!

Well hello there and welcome to the "Fingerless Mitts for Fall KAL!" I don't know about you, but once I start feeling just a whiff of fall rolling around I reach for my fingerless mitts and I enjoy knitting a new pair every year. They're perfect - you can still use your fingers while keeping your hands warm. I use them when I walk my dogs, work in the garden, run, and ESPECIALLY when I work on my computer. I love 'em and I hope you do too!

This KAL will run from the first of september to the end of november and it's open to anyone making fingerless mitts of any kind (Knit, Crochet, even sewn- let's see them!)

Interested in joining? Send me an email to kmckiernan(at)gmail(dot)com (replacing the () with, you know.) or leave a comment with your email, name and blog info (not required) and I'll send you an invite so you can post to the blog.

Also...if anyone is so talented I would love to have a button made for the group? TIA!

Welcome, we're so glad to have you!
