FingerlessMittens for my Grandma

Here is my 93 year old Grandma enjoying her first pair of fingerless mittens. My Aunt saw a picture of another pair I had made and e mailed me to make a pair for Grandma. Her hands are always cold and she loves to do crossword puzzles. Now her hands will be toasty in these mittens in her favorite color. I used the Fetching pattern and Simply Soft yarn so she can wash them when they get dirty.

I am a little late noticing this post. I also made Fetching mitts in red for a friend of mine with a skin condition which causes her hands to itch in the winter. The doctors told her the only solution was to wear gloves. She found that to be an exercise in futility in the house! I surprised her with the fingerless gloves, and they absolutely succeeded in stopping the itching. So I got a real kick out of the similar therapeutic value of red Fetchings for your grandmother and her crosswords!
