Finished three pairs....

I have so enjoyed this KAL! thanks Keri for setting it up for us. I have finished three pairs of mitts. The Queen of Diamonds Gloves (a bit fiddly and complicated), Kyla, love 'em!! and the absolutely scrummy Composed Mitts from Interweave Fall 07 magazine. I bought a yarn bundle from Kpixie and have enough left over for at least one more pair and if I juggle the colours a bit I may have enough yarn for more. I truly loved knitting these jewels!!

Hot Pink Endpapers

I'm done with the third pair of Eunny Jang's Endpaper Mitts and wanted to show them off. I'm giving you the in-process-shot of only one of the mittens, since it's so hard to find a willing model in my house to try those on (all boys) and I can't push the button while wearing them. Anyway, they are done and here they are. Enjoy and you might want to have the shades handy. :)

Hello!

Hi y'all! I just learned about your KAL from Catherine and joined (Thaks, Cath - home you're having fun in Rio!). I'm out of town right now and my photos are on my home computer, but I'm currently working on a pair of Endpaper Mitts. The first is completely knit, I worked up about half of the thumb section yesterday while flying, hope to finish before I get home Sunday. If you're really interested, you can see the first mitt here. Hope you have a great weekend!

Second Endpapers done

I almost forgot to post them on this blog. Here are the second pair of Endpaper Mitts that I finished a couple of days ago. This is a shot of them on my homemade Mitten blockers. Pretty cool, huh? Today they are already in the envelope together with some other goodies, waiting for the post office to open tomorrow morning, so they make their way to their new home in Canada. You just gotta love knitting friends.
The third pair (hot pink and black) is already on the new Harmony needles, and it's a dream to knit with them. Just make sure when you do stranding, to always remember which one is your primary yarn. :( I had to rip out a couple of rows this morning, because I mixed it up and the difference was so drastic, I couldn't live with it.

FO Endpapers

My Endpaper Mitts, designed by Eunny Jang, are finished. I had to find a willing model for them, since I can't wear them and push the button on the camera at the same time. I love the way they turned out and they had to be, of course, in my favorite color purple. They are really not that hard to knit up once you get your mind into the stranded work, so if you are still undecided, go for it.

One down one to go

Hi there. Just wanted to show you what can happen, if you can concentrate on one project only. Here is the first half of my Endpaper Mitts. Unfortunately this mitten is very lonely, but if nothing else interferes I'll get the second one done in no time. I already working on it and the pattern becomes easier as you knit it and I don't even need the sheet anymore. I really like the way the colors come out. I just wish I had size 3 mm DPNs, but I guess they have to be in my next Harmony order from Knit Picks. Until then I have to use the circs.

Proof of membership

Just to let you know that I AM actually knitting a pair of mittens for this KAL I can show you a picture of my progress for now. They are my take along project for the dentist office and the wait in the car and so on, but I'm sure they'll get done before it gets really cold enough to wear them here.

My version of the Endpaper Mitts so far. Well, actually I'm a little further, I'm starting the thumb increase, but you get the picture. And that's not a smudge in the yarn, it's the left over sockyarn from my cotton summer ankle socks, which does have parts of light grey and light blue in it.
