Mods: I only cast on 40 stitches instead of 45, knit 6 stitches instead of 7onto scrap yarn to use later for the thumb and added two additional repeats of the cable pattern to the top.
Notes: these are for a little girl who saw my fetching mitts and wanted some in purple. These fit little four year old hands.
Here they are in relation to my mitts (last years pair) for a size comparison. Keep in mind that my hands are smallish and the gloves on the left are a little large for me.

Love the sizing down. I may have to take a stab at that after I finish those I've already cast on. :-)
